Missions

Over the last couple of years, Tyler has completed international missionary trips as part of a team from Flint Baptist Church.

He had the opportunity to aide in fabricating a couple metal structures for classroom/dormitory buildings and a gate at a bible college in the Toledo District of Belize. In addition to these projects, he also got to participate in evangelism in the local villages through a 3-day revival.

Another one of these trips was a medical clinic in a remote village in Guatemala. Tyler was able to assist the doctors with helping over 600 patients with varying illnesses, while getting to interact with the locals. Patients were prayed over and ministered to while they were being seen for their sicknesses.

As a family, we have made a couple trips to Belize to seek the Lord’s call on our lives for long-term missions.

As we still seek the Lord’s direction for our family into long-term missionaries, we are preparing for the transition and are active in local ministries.

Currently, we have kicked off a men’s discipleship series in Rusk, Texas. Our first series is a book study of Point Man: How a Man Can Lead His Family by Steve Farrar. The focus of this study is bringing back “effective male leadership in the Home”, provided scriptural evidence as to what a man’s role is to his wife and his family, and provides from tools on how to battle against a secular culture that wants to tear apart the family-unit God established.

On the horizon, Tyler has a mission trip scheduled for Honduras in November to aide in some construction needs of remote villages in the mountain regions. We are praying over those people, as the Lord is already working to prepare the hearts of those who will come in contact with him and the team he has partnered with on the trip.
